Kevin Stratvert Newsletter: Claude Artifacts, ChatGPT Plugins, AI Notetaking, Gmail and More!

AI tools are moving fast, but this week’s lineup is less about chasing every new feature and more about finding the ones that can actually change how you work.

First up, we’re taking a deeper look at Claude Artifacts. If you’ve ever wanted to go beyond simply chatting with AI and actually build something useful, this is one to watch. We’ll show you how Artifacts work, what you can create with them, and how to take what you build and publish it for others to use.

We’re also exploring ChatGPT Plugins and what they can unlock by connecting ChatGPT with other tools and services. Then, if you’re constantly capturing ideas, conversations, or meeting notes while you’re away from your desk, we’re checking out Granola AI, which might just be the ultimate AI note taker for people who are always on the go.

And for this week’s quick tip, we’ll show you exactly how to change your Gmail password in just a few simple steps.

Plus, my thoughts about OpenAI's newest release (today!) - GPT-6 Astra

Let’s dive in.

Meet GPT-6 Astra: AI That Can Actually Do the Work

Today, OpenAI launched GPT-6 Astra - let's learn more!

OpenAI’s GPT-6 Astra is designed to move beyond simply answering questions and start completing real work on your computer. Astra can understand what’s on your screen, navigate software, click through menus, enter information, make edits, use code when needed, and then check its own work before handing the result back.

What makes Astra especially interesting is its focus on multi-step tasks. Instead of giving it one small prompt at a time, you can hand it a larger job and let it keep track of the brief, previous attempts, tool output, and results along the way. OpenAI highlights uses across tools like Excel, Power BI, browsers, documents, Unity, Blender, and more.

And speed appears to be a major part of the story. In OpenAI’s testing, Astra completed web tasks 1.9× faster than GPT-5.6 Sol, while also showing significant gains across business workflows, science, advanced math, computer tasks, and 3D modeling.

The bigger takeaway? We’re getting closer to an AI experience where, instead of asking “How do I do this?”, you can simply say “Do this for me.” Astra is built around that idea: give it the whole job, let it work through the steps, and come back to something you can actually use.
