How to Turn Off Active Status on Instagram and Facebook

Here’s how to turn off your active status on Instagram.

1) Open Instagram and tap your profile picture in the bottom right.

2) Tap the three lines in the top right.

3) Scroll down and select Messages and Story Replies.

4) Tap Show Activity Status and toggle it off.

You can also turn off your active status for Facebook....

1) Open the Facebook app and log in.

2) Tap the three horizontal lines (menu icon) in the top-right (Android) or bottom-right (iOS).

3) Scroll to Settings & PrivacySettings.

4) Under Privacy, tap Active Status and toggle off Show when you’re active.
